Children of all ages will discover how different creatures have been important to new scientific discoveries. Many creatures have unique adaptations, some of which are stranger than science fiction!
Children can practice their reading skills by reading stories out loud to some well-behaved dogs from Therapy Dogs of Central Wisconsin!
Do you dream of being a spy or detective? School-age children (grades K-5) can engage their undercover curiosity with fun activities and science experiments including secret messages, fingerprinting and more!
Colossal Fossils, a Wisconsin non-profit, will share its large collection of fossils and fossil replicas during this hands-on presentation for children of all ages! The program also will share local prehistory and locations throughout Wisconsin where fossils may be found.

Tweens (grades 3-5) are invited to the library to learn about chemical reactions while watching some crazy and awesome science experiments, including a few they can try on their own!
Children of all ages and their families are invited to build creative projects using LEGO® blocks! Blocks will be provided.

Library staff and volunteers will be at the Wisconsin Valley Fair throughout the week at a display booth filled with information about the library and activities for all fairgoers of all ages! The booth will be staffed noon through 8pm throughout the week.

Tweens (grades 3-5) can create their own "robots" using recyclable materials! All necessary supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring recyclable materials of your own (cans, jars, wire, cardboard tubes, etc.).

Teens and tweens can learn the basics of computer programming by working together on a variety of fun and intuitive projects! This program is based on the national Hour of Code initiative.

Patrons six months and older can get their flu shots at the library courtesy of the Aspirus VNA Home Health program. Aspirus can bill Medicaid, Medicare and most commercial insurance plans. The cost is $40 for those who wish to pay cash. No appointments necessary.
