WAUSAU - The staff at the Marathon County Public Library will host a hands-on weird science event for tweens in grades three through five from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 23 at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.

During the event, children can hone their science skills with hands-on experiments such as how to make an egg bounce, make a piece of paper support the weight of a book, make slime, make an old penny look like new and create a lava lamp. The event is free and open to kids in grades three through five. No registration is necessary. For more information, call 715-261-7220.
