This event has passed. View upcoming events. EDGAR - The Marathon County Public Library Edgar Branch will host a program on dementia at 2 p.m. Sept. 12, 2012, at the Edgar Branch Library, 224 S. Third Ave., Edgar. During the program, "Dementia - What is it?" staff members from Golden LivingCenter - Continental Manor in Abbotsford will discuss symptoms of dementia, myths about dementia and what caregivers and family members should watch for if they suspect someone has dementia. They also will discuss memory loss and behavioral changes that may accompany dementia. A question and answer session will follow the program. Snacks and refreshments will be served. The program presented as part of Older Americans Day and is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. For more information, call 715-352-3155.
