Dating Violence Awareness for Teens

The Women's Community, a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse will share information about dating violence with teens. Teens will learn to recognize the difference between positive and abusive relationships, especially when dating.

Parenting: Whining, Tantrums, Back Talk, Oh NO!

Are you frustrated about telling children the same thing over and over? Learn to get your children to tune in so you can stop yelling and they start listening. You'll learn how to teach your child respect and responsibility. Linda Salzman of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin will share ways for parents and caregivers to discipline children without yelling. Salzman is the coordinator of the Play & Learn Playgroup program held Thursday mornings at the library. During this evening program, Salzman will also provide some insight into the meanings behind challenging behaviors. There will be time to ask a parenting expert questions and discuss with other parents your particular concerns. This event is FREE and open to the public.
