The Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) is a service of the Marathon County Public Library that provides support and tools for growth to community businesses with industry information, educational opportunities and communication channels to local experts and business resources. Marathon County Development Corporation — (MCDEVCO) Provides business leaders, site selectors, employees and residents with key initiatives and resources that help them establish businesses, identify financing, receive training, capitalize on Marathon County’s resources, and establish business partnerships.

South Area Business Association — Local business networking and education.

UWSP | Small Business Development Center — In partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration, offers workshops, online training, counseling, and helpful information for small businesses or those considering starting a small business.

Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce — The purpose of the Wausau Region Chamber is to strengthen our member businesses and enhance the community by building business success. A source for business connections, opportunities, and solutions.

Wausau SCORE — SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Wausau West Side Business Association — Local business networking and education.

Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network — Provides entrepreneurs with access to experts and resources to start a new business, helps high-potential entrepreneurs move their business forward, and helps minority-owned businesses open and grow.

New meeting room and study rooms

MCPL Wausau is opening two new study rooms with room for six and 10 people, as well as a meeting room for 20 to 22 people. The study rooms are available for two hours at a time. The meeting room schedule is more flexible. We hope college students, non-profit groups and others will use these spaces for educational purposes – office hours or use of the room for entertainment is not allowed ...
