The Marathon County Public Library is happy to announce that the drive thru at its Wausau Headquarters will reopen for public use at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 27!
Located on the west side of the building, MCPL Wausau's drive thru has been closed since last October due to a construction project occuring in the library's basement area. That lower level is being renovated in order to move the Friends of the Marathon County Public Library down from their current home on the library's third floor. Though this project is still ongoing, it is far enough along for the drive thru to reopen to the public.
Aside from picking up requested items, patrons may also pay their fines at the drive thru and return items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using the outdoor book return.
The drive thru will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., just as it was previously. Patrons who want to utilize the drive thru are reminded to select "Wausau Drive Up Window" when requesting items via the library's V-Cat online catalog, or should inform library staff of your preference of picking up your materials at the drive thru.
