If you’re one of the many families that have considered – or who have already committed to – homeschooling your child this fall, you may be wondering what you can use to facilitate your teaching. Or, maybe you’ve homeschooled your children for years but are looking for some new supplemental materials to take your lessons to the next level. Either way, the Marathon County Public Library (MCPL) is here to help.
As we get closer and closer to starting a school year unlike any other before, many parents have been filled with questions and concerns over their kids’ education. If your children will be homeschooled this year, or learning completely virtually, MCPL has a slew of newly-purchased materials that will help your young students learn and keep them on track.
These new materials consist of workbooks, guides and practice tests for students on a variety of subjects, spanning preschool through 6th grade. We also bought multiple copies of most of these books, anticipating an increased demand.
Some of the new items include:
…and many more!
When searching our online catalog for homeschooling materials, we recommend searching the term “curriculum planning” for optimal results. If you want to find materials about deciding whether homeschooling is right for you and your family, or for advice and tips on creating an at-home curriculum, simply search using the term “homeschooling.” Our new Playaway Launchpads can also be a great supplemental resource for learning, too!
