Marathon County Public Library is extending its observance of National Library Week (April 10-16) throughout the month of April by highlighting its employees through a series of staff profiles! Now through April 30, learn a little bit about the personnel at our nine MCPL locations, and feel free to give them a friendly "hello" next time you see them!

The diversity of my work. I do so many different jobs in one.

What is your ideal vacation? Where would you go and what would you do there?
I’d travel to national parks because I love unspoiled nature. My husband and I are planning to go to Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Bryce Canyon and Zion.

What motto or philosophy do you live by?
Live well, laugh often, love much!

What are some of your pet peeves?
Nail tapping, knuckle cracking and people answering phones when we’re in the middle of a transaction.

As my mama said, "If you’re going to do something, do it good."

What food item(s) you absolutely cannot resist?
Anything made with brown sugar and butter.

How do you think MCPL will continue to transform in the future?
I believe the library will become more hands-on, whether it is for technological or educational experiences.
