FAQ: How can I get a library card?
Answer:
Marathon County Public Library cards are available free to all residents of Wisconsin.
Wisconsin residents may register for a library card online or apply at any MCPL location.
Visitors from out of state may apply for a temporary account.
Please note:
- Patrons less than 18 years of age must apply in person with a parent or guardian present.
- To receive your library card, you will need to present your Wisconsin driver's license or other government-issued photo ID, plus proof of current address.
- If you already have an account with MCPL or another V-Cat library, you may not open a new account. Your original account will be updated instead.
- If you no longer have your library card and your account is expired, you may receive a free replacement card; otherwise, a replacement card is $2.
