Staff Review: "The Authenticity Project"
Julian, a 75 year old London artist, starts a little green journal where he writes about his loneliness and his regrets. Julian leaves this journal in a neighborhood cafe and Monica happens upon it. Monica reads Julian's entry and is inclined to share her biggest fears and regrets. She then leaves it for a stranger to find. Soon enough, the little green journal, better known as "The Authenticity Project," makes its way around a London neighborhood. The recipients of the journal eventually find themselves connected in both good and bad ways.
Clare Pooley’s writing was great and the whole premise of the novel sucked me in right away. If you like Nancy Meyers' movies, you will love this book! Recommended for any fans of chick lit, or anyone looking for a light, fun, yet thought-provoking read.
