"Lie Still" by Julia Heaberlin

Cover: 'Lie Still'
★★★★★

Julia Heaberlin is one of my new favorite voices in the mystery genre. I've loved all of her books so far, and "Lie Still" is no exception! Emily Page and her husband have moved from New York City to small town Texas in order for her husband to accept a job of police chief. Emily, pregnant with the couple's first child, hopes her haunted past and the stalker that taunts her will not be able to reach her in the wealthy, perfect town of Clairmont.  However, Clairmont is not as idyllic as it seems, and she quickly learns she cannot outrun the past. When the queen-bee of Emily's new social circle goes missing, and Emily is forced to confront both her own history and the dark secrets that fill the lives of everyone in town as she races to figure out if the present is connected to her past. This book was filled with sassy and spunky characters and intense twists and turns. I would recommend this fast read to any mystery lover!
