Have you been thinking of going vegan? Or, are you already vegan (or mostly vegan) and would like more information on the reasons why this lifestyle is helpful to you and the environment? I found this book to be packed full of helpful information! As someone who eats vegan at least 90% of the time, I enjoyed gaining more specific information than what I already knew, especially considering the times in the past where I have been criticized for my choice in lifestyle because I didn't have enough scientific, specific facts to back up what I already knew about the health and environmental benefits to a plant-based diet. I learned a few new things along the way as well, such as how casein (the protein in milk, that comes in very large amounts in cow's milk) actually becomes an addictive substance (casomorphin) when in the human body. This book is packed full of the reasons a plant based diet is what is good for the human body and the environment, and has a few recipes included as well.
