Staff Review: "The Ultimate Allergy-Free Cookbook"
Allergic or intolerant to milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, soy, or fish, and looking for easy recipes to make? I qualify for 3 of the allergies mentioned in this cookbook, and it was very helpful having a whole cookbook devoted to recipes I can safely have! Although I was disappointed that no photos were included, the amount of recipes and tips included were helpful enough! Tempting snacks, soups, salads, desserts, and main dishes had me bookmarking pages. Also included were lists of ingredients and names on food labels to avoid for each allergen. For those of us suffering from a food allergy we know there are 'hidden' words included in ingredient lists that, unless researched, are words not recognized in any capacity, let alone ones we connect to our allergen. The listed guidelines for avoiding food allergens included in this cookbook were very helpful! A great resource for those of us with food allergies, sensitivities, or intolerances.
