Staff Review: "Yes Please" by Amy Poehler

Are you ready to laugh, learn, and cry? Amy delivers all of this and more in her debut book. Anyone who is a fan of Amy from her television work and comedy will definitely appreciate her humor and stories about trying to make it in the business. She covers her childhood through her time on "Parks and Recreation." What I found to be the best part of this book, though, was how honest and inspirational she is about life as a working woman and mother. I felt as though she was speaking to me when she describes her journey of accepting who she is and learning to love herself. I did listen to this book on audiobook and I highly recommend it! Amy reads the book herself, along with a cast of other characters, from celebrities to her own parents. The audiobook also includes audio clips from some of her shows and adds to the entertainment value! What a refreshing read you should definitely check out! I will be reading this again in the near future in case I missed anything from the audiobook!
