Join us in September for our monthly Extension Gardening series, when we’ll talk not about gardening, but about an invasive insect that threatens various local plant species!
Janell Wehr, horticulture educator with Extension Marathon County, will tell us more about the spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula). An invasive insect species native to Asia, the spotted lanternfly has recently been sighted in Illinois and while it is not a threat to humans, it poses a significant threat to various plant species.
This program is free and open to the public, and registration is required. Click the “Register” button on this page to sign up or call 715-261-1241 for more information. An identical class will be held at 6pm.
