SUMMARY:Wausau: Winter Reading Program: A Cozy Night In
DESCRIPTION:Adults are invited to join our Winter Reading Program\, running from December through February! Participants will pledge to read at least five books\, attend three MCPL events\, and complete various challenges over three months for a chance to win cozy\, reading-themed prizes. Starting December 1\, stop by the Reference Desk on the second floor at MCPL-Wausau to pick up your log sheet and get started. This sheet will help you track your progress throughout the program. To be eligible for a prize at the end\, participants must turn in their completed log sheet by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday\, March 7. Three grand prize winners will be selected and contacted on Friday\, March 13. \nAs a bonus\, two special events will be held at MCPL-Wausau in connection with the Winter Reading Program\, featuring prize drawings at the end of each event just for attending and participating! These events are: \n-Silent Book Club: A Cozy Night In \n-Tea Blending Workshop \nStarting December 1\, stop by the library for your log sheet\, grab some books\, and let the winter reading fun begin! All proceeds from these Friends sales go right back to MCPL to fund all the great programming we do throughout the year\, so it’s a win-win for you and MCPL! \nThe sale will first welcome members of the Friends only on Wednesday\, February 4 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 p.m. If you’re not a member\, you can fill out an application found online and bring it with you\, or join on the spot! After that\, the sale is open to anyone and everyone on Thursday\, February 5 from 9:30 am to 7:30 p.m. and Friday\, February 6 from 9:30 am to 4:30 p.m. We’ll finish with our popular $6 bag sale on Saturday\, February 7 from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. \nThere is no cost to browse! DESCRIPTION:Grab your favorite puzzle partners and showcase your skills at our Stratford Puzzle Competition this February! This time around\, a special puzzle is being created by the Stratford Area Historical Society with a historical Valentine’s Day theme! Teams of 1-4 will compete for up to 90 minutes to see who can assemble a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest! Registration is required as space is limited.
