SUMMARY:Wausau: ADRC: Dementia Overview
DESCRIPTION:MCPL is partnering with the ADRC this spring to bring a series of programs designed to provide information and resources regarding dementia. Join us on April 6 as we give an overview of dementia. What is considered “normal aging” and when should you be concerned? Forgetfulness can be a normal part of aging—but when memory loss and other thinking problems start to interfere with daily life\, it may be a sign of dementia. Dementia is a general term for conditions that affect memory\, language\, problem-solving\, and other cognitive abilities. \nWhether you’re adjusting to a new diagnosis\, looking to better support someone you care about\, or are interested in learning more\, this presentation—led by staff from the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Central Wisconsin—will provide a helpful introduction to understanding dementia. \nThis free event is open to adults and no registration is required.
