Bring them to the library and swap them for something new-to-you! Drop off your gently-used physical media during library open hours from September 8–12. Library staff will then sort items into children’s and adult categories to make browsing easy when you return for the swap September 16-19. Genealogy enthusiasts and beginners are invited to join us each month to learn more about our genealogical resources. Each session will begin with a short presentation on a particular genealogy resource led by our Adult Reference Librarian. Afterwards\, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and have independent exploration time using our resources with assistance provided. \nThese sessions are appropriate for beginners and beyond! Inspired by the incredible true story of two giraffes who made headlines and won the hearts of Depression-era America. Two giraffes miraculously survive a hurricane while crossing the Atlantic and what follows is a twelve-day road trip in a custom truck to deliver Southern California’s first giraffes to the San Diego Zoo.
