Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) and Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) have been entertaining and educating folks in the Badger State for decades. But how did these stations get off the ground and pave the way for other public broadcasting outlets, including NPR?

Rick Reyer, WPR's regional manager, will give an informative presentation on the history of public broadcasting in Wisconsin, including how the Wisconsin Idea helped influence the growth and expansion of both public radio and television statewide and across the country.

Free and open to the public, with no registration required. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Friends of the Marathon County Public Library.
