Community Writing Competition

Teen & Adult Event Drop-in Calling all local writers! We want to see your work, so send us your writing during our winter/spring writing competition.

Adults and teens aged 13 and older are invited to submit original work in three categories: Fiction, Creative Non-fiction and Poetry. Participants may submit one piece of work in each category and the word limit for each submission is 4,000 words. Please do not include your name on the work itself, but only on the accompanying entry form (available at the library). No anonymous entries will be accepted.

Email submissions to or turn in paper copies at the Marathon City Branch. Entries will be judged by library staff. Winners in each category will have their work printed in The Record Review.
