Library Learning: Submit Writing to Literary Magazines

Library Learning
Submit Writing to Literary Magazines

Adults & Teens Aspiring writers are welcome to join us for a discussion about getting work published!

It can be difficult to find the best magazine or publication to submit your work to because there are so many out there! Should you aim for The New Yorker or the local paper? Should you self-publish? Is it worth the fees for submission?

In this group we will discuss which websites and books to use as reference points and how you can find the best market for your work. We'll also discuss how to put together a cover letter and how to make your work look professional. (Please note, this discussion is for writers who have finished short stories, poems or other literary work, not an editing workshop.)

Free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Call the Marathon City Branch at 715-443-2775 to sign up or for more information.
