Nonfiction @ Night: "Educated" by Tara Westover

Adults Give your brain a work-out by reading and discussing some timely nonfiction titles during the Nonfiction @ Night Book Club at our Stratford Branch!

The book we'll read and discuss for August is "Educated" by Tara Westover.

Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was 17 years-old the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara's older brothers became violent. Tara decides to pursue an education in the outside world, which leads her to England and beyond.

Join our new Nonfiction @ Night Book Club and discuss fascinating books and topics with your neighbors. From history and social issues to science and psychology, nonfiction illuminates any number of areas, making you more intelligent and well-rounded. And it's easy to do: Just read each month's book and show up! New attendees are always welcome.
