A zine\, short for fanzine or magazine\, is a DIY self-publication\, usually made on paper using magazine clippings and art supplies\, and then reproduced with a photocopier or printer. Zines evolved from fan-based publications in the 1930s and became more prominent in the counter-culture movements of the 1970s and beyond. They have been a powerful tool for documenting marginalized voices and communities\, including the punk\, feminist\, and LGBTQ+ movements. A zine can be what you make it! \nAll supplies will be provided\, just bring your creativity! A few examples will be provided to get you thinking.
