A table will be set right outside the library entrance and anyone is welcome to drop off a plant or two to leave for someone else. If necessary\, provide any care instructions along with the plant. If you see a few plants that you’d like\, help yourself! Please be mindful of others when taking plants so that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the swap. \nThis event is open to all ages. SUMMARY:Wausau: School Supply Swap
DESCRIPTION:School’s out for summer! Before you put away your backpack or your kid’s backpack full of materials until the fall\, sort through it and bring in your gently used school supplies to swap with others! Bring your notebooks\, pens\, pencils\, colors\, glue\, and more starting Monday\, June 1 through Friday\, June 5. Stop back on Saturday\, June 6 to pick up supplies for yourself or your kids! You do not have to donate in order to participate in the swap. Please be mindful of others and take only what you need. \nParticipants of all ages can drop off materials at the second floor Reference Desk\, and on the day of the swap\, join us in the Community Room from 9:30-4:30 p.m. to pick up supplies. Stop by your local MCPL location after June 1 and pick up a journal page to write about a summer adventure or something that you’ve enjoyed this season. At the end of the summer\, we will bind all of the journal entries together so you can see what others in your community and across Marathon County were up to! Your journal entry must be appropriate and suitable for a general audience. On your journal entry you’ll include your first name\, date\, and MCPL branch location. If you’re completing our Teen Summer Reading Program\, turn your journal entry in for a signature on your Dig Site by August 31. \nThis free event is open to teens\, with no registration\, just stop by any MCPL location to pick up a journal sheet (after June 1) and start writing!
