DESCRIPTION:Teens are invited to share about their summer! Stop by your local MCPL location after June 1 and pick up a journal page to write about a summer adventure or something that you’ve enjoyed this season. At the end of the summer\, we will bind all of the journal entries together so you can see what others in your community and across Marathon County were up to! Your journal entry must be appropriate and suitable for a general audience. On your journal entry you’ll include your first name\, date\, and MCPL branch location. If you’re completing our Teen Summer Reading Program\, turn your journal entry in for a signature on your Dig Site by August 31. \nThis free event is open to teens\, with no registration\, just stop by any MCPL location to pick up a journal sheet (after June 1) and start writing! DESCRIPTION:Roar into reading during our Dino Days at MCPL Stratford all week long from June 8 to 13. Throughout the week\, dinosaur eggs will be hidden all around the library. It’s your job to be on the lookout and find one! After you discover an egg\, bring it to the desk and you’ll be matched with your very own miniature dinosaur to adopt! You’ll also be able to create a habitat for your new dino reading buddy with a variety of supplies provided. This is also the perfect opportunity to pick up your Summer Reading Challenge & Activity Book\, with a listing of all of our summer programs! \nChildren & tweens are welcome to stop by during open hours the week of June 8-13\, along with caregivers\, to get in the spirit of summer. DESCRIPTION:Young children are invited to get creative and explore child-led process art with a variety of projects! Process art is focused on the creation part of the process instead of following a specific set of directions. It allows for many different possibilities while children develop their creativity\, critical thinking and fine motor skills\, and even gain confidence in their artistic and crafting abilities! There will be a different project each month so that children have an opportunity to unleash their creativity in new ways while caregivers are able to meet with other community members. Examples of projects that may be offered include nature stamps\, dropper paintings\, paper sculpture\, bubble painting\, and more! \nThis free event is open to young children up to age 5 and their caregivers.
