Stop by your local MCPL location after June 1 and pick up a journal page to write about a summer adventure or something that you’ve enjoyed this season. At the end of the summer\, we will bind all of the journal entries together so you can see what others in your community and across Marathon County were up to! Your journal entry must be appropriate and suitable for a general audience. On your journal entry you’ll include your first name\, date\, and MCPL branch location. If you’re completing our Teen Summer Reading Program\, turn your journal entry in for a signature on your Dig Site by August 31. \nThis free event is open to teens\, with no registration\, just stop by any MCPL location to pick up a journal sheet (after June 1) and start writing! Our book sale room is packed to the gills with thousands of items that can be yours for low prices. All proceeds from these Friends sales go right back to MCPL to fund all the great programming we do throughout the year\, so it’s a win-win for you and MCPL! \nThe sale will first welcome members of the Friends group only on Wednesday\, August 5 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 p.m. If you’re not a member\, you can fill out an application found online and bring it with you\, or join on the spot! After that\, the sale is open to anyone and everyone on Thursday\, August 6 from 9:30 am to 7:30 p.m. and Friday\, August 7 from 9:30 am to 4:30 p.m. We’ll finish with our popular $6 bag sale on Saturday\, August 8 from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. There is no cost to browse!
