SUMMARY:Wausau: Collage as a Guide for a Liberated Life
DESCRIPTION:If You Can Imagine It\, It’s Possible. Join us for an inclusive collage workshop with a guided discussion lead by artist-activist\, Cassandra Xiong\, B.S. in Sociology. Discussion will spiral around importance of creativity\, embracing imperfection\, the value of the creation process\, and how that process is enhanced when shared with others. Collage is inherently imperfect and messy\, and Cassandra’s work embraces that spirit. Rooted in social change\, she uses creativity as an intentional act of resistance\, healing\, and liberation\, sparking meaningful conversations about the systems that shape our world. This program is made possible through the Create Wisconsin Statewide Artist Grant Program to support creative projects of artists and performers across all 72 of Wisconsin’s counties\, and is supported by Ruth Arts. \nThis free event is open to adults\, with registration required\, opening July 8\, to secure your spot.
