Library staff can provide free one-on-one assistance for adults with basic computer and internet skills\, job searching and applications\, Microsoft Office (Word\, Excel\, etc.)\, social media (Facebook\, X\, etc.)\, E-books and library databases\, new computers or mobile devices…and more! \nRegistration is required by calling 715-261-7230. Appointments are available every other Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and on opposite weeks\, every other Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 p.m. If the available times don’t work for you\, we’ll help you schedule another session! DESCRIPTION:Adults are invited to make your own faux leather earrings! A few styles will be shown that you can choose from (more than what is pictured!) and staff will help guide you through the crafting process. We’ll have faux leather cording available as well as plain and patterned faux leather sheets to choose from. Then\, use templates to cut out your desired shape\, or craft a custom design. \nAll materials are provided—just bring your creativity! Participants will walk away with at least two pairs of earrings. Come learn a new skill and create handmade earrings to add to your collection! \nThis free event is open to adults only\, and registration is required below to secure your spot and supplies. SUMMARY:Mosinee: Paint Your Pet's Portrait
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the library to paint your own colorful\, slightly abstract\, portrait of your beloved animal companion using acrylic paint! Participants must bring an 8×10 color image of your animal that you’d like to paint. You’ll put the portrait under transparency film and draw the outline of your animal using black markers. Then\, be ready to draw in whiskers\, other defining features\, and fill in the rest with blocks of colors\, or however detailed you’d like to make it. Don’t worry if you’re not a master painter. Come on your own\, or bring a friend! \nTake your creation home to be displayed however you like! Please note that frames will not be given out at this program. This free event is open to adults and young adults\, and registration is required by clicking the Register button below and completing a short form. If you don’t have an 8×10 color image of your pet\, come a little early and you can use our mobile printing option and print a picture from your mobile device for $0.50. SUMMARY:Wausau: Winter D&D Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Calling all adventurers! Join us for our first-ever Winter Dungeons & Dragons Adventure for adults! Library staff and volunteer DMs will run beginner-friendly games from December through February. Register and come with a Level 3 Character\, built using only official Wizards of the Coast (WotC) content\, no partnered content. Following Dungeons & Dragons 5e 2014 rules. \nWe understand life can be busy\, and schedules often vary\, so we’re running a West Marches-style series of games. West Marches is a format for large group tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG) with a sandbox world\, or open world concept\, and a rotating cast of adventurers who sign up for individual sessions\, with no fixed party. We will meet from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on December 4\, 8\, and 18; January 5\, 15\, and 29; and February 2\, 12\, and 16.
