Library staff can provide free one-on-one assistance for adults with basic computer and internet skills\, job searching and applications\, Microsoft Office (Word\, Excel\, etc.)\, social media (Facebook\, X\, etc.)\, E-books and library databases\, new computers or mobile devices…and more! \nRegistration is required by calling 715-261-7230. Appointments are available every other Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and on opposite weeks\, every other Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 p.m. If the available times don’t work for you\, we’ll help you schedule another session! When you arrive for your appointment\, please check-in at the second floor Reference Desk. Please bring (if needed): Your device and its charger or cables\, login info (usernames\, passwords)\, device manual\, mobile phone (for account recovery)\, and USB drive\, memory card\, or other storage. \nFor more information\, please contact us at 715-261-7230.

Our book sale room is packed to the gills with thousands of items that can be yours for low prices. All proceeds from these Friends sales go right back to MCPL to fund all the great programming we do throughout the year\, so it’s a win-win for you and MCPL! \nThe sale will first welcome members of the Friends group only on Wednesday\, April 29 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 p.m. If you’re not a member\, you can fill out an application found online and bring it with you\, or join on the spot! After that\, the sale is open to anyone and everyone on Thursday\, April 30 from 9:30 am to 7:30 p.m. and Friday\, May 1 from 9:30 am to 4:30 p.m. We’ll finish with our popular $6 bag sale on Saturday\, May 2 from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. There is no cost to browse! DESCRIPTION:MCPL Wausau is partnering with Extension Marathon County to offer a four-week series of beginner-friendly programs to help anyone interested in growing vegetables this spring. Weeds and diseases can challenge even experienced gardeners\, but understanding their biology makes management easier. Join us on April 30 to learn how to recognize weed characteristics and invasive plants\, and apply cultural and mechanical control methods effectively. We will also cover the causes and conditions that lead to plant diseases\, how to differentiate signs from symptoms\, and the role of water in disease development. Finally\, we will compare herbicide types and timing for safe\, effective use. This program equips you with practical tools to protect your garden and maintain resilience throughout the season. There will be two sessions offered: an afternoon session from 1:30-3:00 p.m. and an evening session from 5:30-7:00 p.m. We will meet in the Community Room. \nThis free event is open to adults\, with registration required below to secure your spot.
