DESCRIPTION:Need tech help? Library staff can provide free one-on-one assistance for adults with basic computer and internet skills\, job searching and applications\, Microsoft Office (Word\, Excel\, etc.)\, social media (Facebook\, X\, etc.)\, E-books and library databases\, new computers or mobile devices…and more! Registration is required by calling 715-261-7230. Appointments are available every other Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and on opposite weeks\, every other Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 p.m. If the available times don’t work for you\, we’ll help you schedule another session. \nWhen you arrive for your appointment\, please check-in at the second floor Reference Desk. Please bring (if needed): Your device and its charger or cables\, login info (usernames\, passwords)\, device manual\, mobile phone (for account recovery)\, and USB drive\, memory card\, or other storage. DESCRIPTION:Registration for the Teen D&D Summer Adventure is full and is now closed. Calling all adventurers! MCPL Wausau is hosting our 4th annual Teen D&D Summer Adventure and we’re recruiting you! Teens ages 13-18 are invited to join us weekly for exciting Dungeons & Dragons games run by our staff Dungeon Masters. Are you up for task? New adventurers are STRONGLY recommended to attend our D&D Character Building for Beginners event on Monday\, June 8 from 2:30-4:30 p.m.\, the day before our Summer Adventure begins. This summer\, we’ll meet every Tuesday from 1:30-4:00 p.m.\, starting June 9. SUMMARY:Wausau: Create & Celebrate USA
DESCRIPTION:Children are invited to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and create a patriotic design on a cotton tote bag or t-shirt\, just in time for the Fourth of July! Participants will use fabric paint and USA-themed stencils\, such as an American flag\, fireworks\, and more. Families must register online or by calling 715-261-7220 as supplies are limited. Registration will open one month prior on May 23. You can choose to select a provided tote bag\, or you can choose to bring a plain white cotton t-shirt from home. We will meet outside the library in the green space of the lower parking lot. In case of rain\, the event will be moved indoors in the Community Room. \nThis free event is open to children and their caregivers\, with registration required. SUMMARY:Wausau: Summer at Mead: Nature-Inspired Art
DESCRIPTION:Join us this summer for field trips to the Mead Wildlife Area and experience unforgettable outdoor activities for all ages! Everyone is invited to join us on June 25 to discover beauty in the places we call “nature” and participate in landscape painting and whittling. \nMeet at MCPL Wausau in the lower library parking lot on West Washington Street and hop on our bus for free transportation departing promptly at 12:15 pm. After our activities\, we’ll take the bus back to MCPL Wausau and arrive by 3:45 p.m. This free event is open to all ages\, but please note that minors MUST be accompanied by an adult on all field trips.  Registration is required for this event by registering online or by calling. These events happen rain or shine! See below for important information regarding library parking. For more information about the event or to register\, call 715-261-7230. For Mead-specific questions\, call 715-457-6771. Larger groups are asked to please contact Mead Wildlife Area directly to better accommodate your group. \nParking: Parking in the upper library lot on North First Street is free\, however\, space is limited. Parking in the lower lot is managed by the city. You must register your car at the booth or via the Passport app. It is free for the first two hours\, and it’s $1.00 per additional hour. \nRegister
