Over his coaching career in Marathon County, from 1937 to 1970, Win Brockmeyer's football teams won far more games than they lost. His tenure at Wausau High School included a remarkable 46 game winning streak over eight years, and his football teams were so dominate that it caused the the Wisconsin Valley Conference to break up in the 1950s.
