DESCRIPTION:Tweens and teens are encouraged to test their problem-solving skills to unlock a breakout box and save the school schedule! \nWith all the fun activities coming up\, you are anticipating an exciting year ahead. Suddenly a weird sun blip completely scrambled your calendar! What month is the big class trip? What time is soccer practice? What day is the cafeteria serving Tuna Noodle Delight? \nFortunately you have a backup calendar; unfortunately\, it’s locked in the breakout box. Can you solve the puzzles to unlock the box and straighten out your schedule? \nThis program is best for participants ages 8-12 and registration is required by calling the Rothschild Branch at 715-359-6208. Each session should take about one hour\, with starting times at noon\, 2pm and 5pm on Thursday\, October 24 and 11am\, 1pm and 2pm on Friday\, October 24.

DESCRIPTION:Patrons of all ages are invited to visit any MCPL location and be an artist for a weekend as we celebrate our second-annual American Artist Appreciation Month in August! \nOn Friday\, Aug. 23 and Saturday the 24th at all of our locations\, we will set up multiple artist stations with projects inspired by famous American artists. Participants can create their own art and we’ll also curate book displays about well-known American artists so patrons can learn about them and maybe find some inspiration\, too! \nAll activities are open to the public\, no registration required\, and patrons can stop by anytime their preferred MCPL location is open!
