CWBF: “An Introduction to Hmong History 101” with Author Brian V. Xiong

Join us for a special event for children and their caregivers as author and scholar Dr. Brian V. Xiong shares his latest children’s book, “An Introduction to Hmong History 101,” followed by a Q&A and book signing.
This book offers an introduction to Hmong history, explores Hmong cultural values and traditions, and highlights their experiences in war and refugee camps. It also examines the challenges faced in preserving their identity in new countries. Dedicated to young Hmong children and their families, this book aims to inspire younger generations to ask their elders about family stories and traditions, and to preserve them for future generations. Written especially for young Hmong children and their families, the book encourages conversations across generations—inviting kids to ask their elders about family stories, traditions, and heritage. All are welcome!
