Edgar: Dementia Basics

What is considered “normal aging” and when should you be concerned? Forgetfulness can be a normal part of aging—but when memory loss and other thinking problems start to interfere with daily life, it may be a sign of dementia. Dementia is a general term for conditions that affect memory, language, problem-solving, and other cognitive abilities.
Whether you’re adjusting to a new diagnosis or looking to better support someone you care about, this presentation—led by staff from the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Central Wisconsin—will provide a helpful introduction to understanding dementia.
This free event is open to adults and no registration is required. For more information, please contact us at 715-352-3155.
