Marathon City: Book Club: “The Snow Child” by Eowyn Ivey

Join us with other book lovers for a discussion of a variety of books—new and old, fiction and nonfiction! Our November selection is “The Snow Child” by Eowyn Ivey.

This book is a magical realism novel set in 1920s Alaska, where a childless couple, Jack and Mabel, build a snow child out of snow, only to find a mysterious young girl seemingly appearing from the wilderness the next morning, bringing a glimmer of hope and wonder into their isolated lives, but with a lingering question of whether she is real or a figment of their imagination.
