Mosinee: Watercolor Pet Portraits

Join us at the library to paint your own colorful, slightly abstract, portrait of your beloved animal companion using watercolors! Participants must bring a 5×7 color image of your animal that you’d like to paint. Please note that a print out works best versus a glossy photo. First, we’ll color the back of our print out with pencil. Then, we’ll take the print out and place it face up on top of our watercolor paper, pencil side down. Then, be ready to trace the outline of your pet, draw in whiskers, and other defining features. This will copy the pencil marks onto the watercolor paper to use as a guide for painting with our watercolors. Don’t worry if you’re not a master artist. Come on your own, or bring a friend!

This event is open to adults and young adults. Registration is required by clicking the blue Register button below to secure a spot as space is limited. If you don’t have a 5×7 color print out of your pet, come a little early and you can use our mobile printing option and print a picture from your mobile device for $0.50.
