Wausau: Wisconsin Author Holly Wilson

September 28 @ 12:30 pm1:30 pm

Holly Wilson

The Central Wisconsin Book Festival welcomes Wisconsin author Holly Wilson to the Marathon County Public Library in Wausau to discuss her debut novel, Kittentits.

Holly Wilson grew up in Kansas and now calls Wisconsin home, and she’s an associate professor of creative writing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her first novel, Kittentits, was published in May 2024. A surrealist and bold take on the American coming-of-age novel, the novel centers on 10-year-old Molly and incorporates the 1992 World’s Fair, a sweet pair of LA Gear Heatwave shoes, and potty mouths. Wilson will talk about the novel, answer audience questions and sign copies of her book.

Free and open to adults, no registration required. Call MCPL Wausau at 715-261-7230 for more information.

Support for the 2024 Central Wisconsin Book Festival was provided through the Marathon County Public Library, Portage County Public Library and McMillan Memorial Library; the Community Arts Grant Program of the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, with funds provided by the Wisconsin Arts Board, a state agency; the Community Foundation; and the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation.

Support also provided by the Murco Foundation; Ruder Ware Law Firm; the Portage County Public Library Foundation; Center for the Visual Arts; the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Libraries; Bound to Happen Books; Sojourn Booksellers; and Janke Book Store.
