Twiddlemuffs are a colorful sensory tool used for people who have Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. Designed to keep restless hands busy and warm, these muffs are knitted or crocheted and then decorated with buttons, beads, ribbons and other items that allow patients to fiddle, touch and twirl.
Knitters and crocheters, join us to start your own twiddlemuff! We will provide patterns, yarn, buttons, and beads, and crafters are encouraged to bring other items that could be attached. Finished muffs can be dropped off at Wausau, where they will be donated to memory care centers and used in our memory kits.
Join us from 6-7:30 p.m. on February 4th or on February 5th from 1:30-3:30 p.m. when Twiddlemuff Creation will run concurrently with our Fiber Artists Meet Up.
Free, open to adults and teens, no registration required.
