All ages are invited to the library as we continue our year-long celebration of all things Studio Ghibli!
Join us for a screening of “The Tale of the Princess Kaguya.” Found inside a shining stalk of bamboo by an old bamboo cutter and his wife, a tiny girl grows rapidly into an exquisite young lady, later known as Kaguya. She grows into a beautiful young woman who is coveted by five nobles. To try to avoid marrying a stranger she doesn’t love, she sends her suitors on seemingly impossible tasks. But she will have to face her fate and punishment for her choices.
Free and open to all ages, no registration is required. Call 715-261-7230 for more information. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and refreshments, though we ask that you please help keep our library clean. (2013 | Rated PG | 137 minutes)
