graphics of dice, game controllers, and cards, with the text "MCPL's 2nd Annual International Games Month Mini-Convention, Fun for Everyone!"

Celebrate International Games Month with us at MCPL-Wausau!

This will be Wausau’s 2nd annual celebration, and this year we are offering all of the fun on one day! A variety of games, new and old, will be available in different rooms at the library. In the Community Room, we’ll have Magic: The Gathering free play, Nintendo Switch® games, and a wide assortment of board games. In the Conference Room, check out retro-consoles and classic games provided by the Wisconsin Computer Club, and in our Large Study Room, jump into Role-Playing Game (RPG) “taste test” sessions. These sessions are a perfect way to explore new role-playing adventures! All games will be run by an experienced player, so participants can jump in and play games they’ve always wanted to try or have never heard of. Participants will receive a map and stamp card that you can complete by participating in our activities throughout the day. Complete your card and turn it in that day for a chance to win a prize any gamer would love! See below for a more detailed schedule of the activities you can enjoy!
