Marathon City: Book Club: “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver

Join us at the library with other books lovers for a discussion of a variety of books–new and old, fiction and nonfiction! The August selection is “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver.

This story is told through the eyes of a young boy born in the mountains of southern Appalachia as he navigates through modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves and crushing losses.
