Join us at the Marathon City Branch with other book lovers for a discussion of a variety of books–new and old, fiction and nonfiction! This month’s selection is “When Breath Becomes Air” by Paul Kalanithi.
This memoir, by a young neurosurgeon who is diagnosed with lung cancer, chronicles his transformation from a medical student into a patient and his struggle of being a new father confronting his own mortality. The author attempts to answer many questions, such as, “What makes life worth living in the face of death?”
Everyone is welcome to join the discussion! Registration is not required. For more information call the Marathon City Branch at 715-443-2775.
