October 9 @ 1:00 pm2:30 pm

house

Join us for a special presentation – in a special location! – as we learn more about the Black Creek Inn just outside of Athens, originally built for the Erbach family.

The Erbach home was built in the 1890’s by Fred Rietbrock for his son-in-law and daughter, William and Marianna Erbach. They moved to Athens in 1895 and William was hired to oversee the development of Athens. Gary Gisselman of the Marathon County Historical Society will tell us more both about the home and the family!

Open to the public, no registration required. Please note this presentation will take place at the Black Creek Inn / Erbach House, 116 Wylie Road, Athens, WI 54411. Call the Athens Branch at 715-257-7292 for more information.
