Stevens Point: Suspense Author Hannah Morrissey

September 27 @ 7:00 pm8:00 pm

Hannah Morrissey

The Central Wisconsin Book Festival welcomes one of our state’s own talented writers, Hannah Morrissey, to the Portage County Public Library in Stevens Point for her first CWBF event!

Hannah is the author of the Black Harbor suspense series, which so far includes three books: Hello, TranscriberThe Widowmaker; and When I’m Dead. A fourth novel in the series, The Unlucky Ones, is scheduled to be published in March 2025. Inspiration for the series came in part from Hannah’s own experience transcribing police reports, and her novels have inspired their own sub-genre called “Midwestern Noir.”

This CWBF event is free and open to the public, no registration required. Call the Portage County Public Library at 715-346-1544 for more information.

Support for the 2024 Central Wisconsin Book Festival was provided through the Marathon County Public Library, Portage County Public Library and McMillan Memorial Library; the Community Arts Grant Program of the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, with funds provided by the Wisconsin Arts Board, a state agency; the Community Foundation; and the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation.

Support also provided by the Murco Foundation; Ruder Ware Law Firm; the Portage County Public Library Foundation; Center for the Visual Arts; the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Libraries; Bound to Happen Books; Sojourn Booksellers; and Janke Book Store.
