Patrons of all ages are invited to create a variety of holiday and winter-themed crafts! Potential craft projects include ornaments made from shower curtain hooks and yarn, melted pony bead ornaments, sock snowmen, and paper / ribbon decorations for kids.
Teens in grades 6-12 will have the opportunity to create sugar and salt scrubs, as well as milk bath powder and sea salt soak, to give as holiday gifts for friends and family!

The Women's Community, a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse will share information about dating violence with teens. Teens will learn to recognize the difference between positive and abusive relationships, especially when dating.

NEW! Teens in grades 6-12 will have the opportunity to learn jewelry making techniques as they create their own wearable art. We will craft rings and bracelets from wire, beads, and cord. All necessary supplies will be provided.

NEW! Are you frustrated about telling children the same thing over and over? Learn to get your children to tune in so you can stop yelling and they start listening. You'll learn how to teach your child respect and responsibility. Linda Salzman of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin will share ways for parents and caregivers to discipline children without yelling. Salzman is the coordinator of the Play & Learn Playgroup program held Thursday mornings at the library. During this evening program, Salzman will also provide some insight into the meanings behind challenging behaviors. There will be time to ask a parenting expert questions and discuss with other parents your particular concerns. This event is FREE and open to the public.
