Wordstock: Three Days of Peace and Poetry

Wordstock: Three Days of Peace and Poetry

All-Ages Drop-in You've heard of Woodstock, but get ready for a new, more poetic take on this famous festival!

During this three-day event for all ages, different poetry-related activities will be offered each day. On April 22, patrons can make an origami peace dove and then write a haiku on its wings. On April 23 (also Shakespeare Day), we will be giving out bookmarks with a Shakespeare sonnet printed on them. On April 24, patrons can create an erasure poem from a book or magazine page. Patrons can also visit the listening station to hear poetry and check out poetry books. All supplies for each activity will be provided.

For more information, call the Marathon City Branch at 715-443-2775.
