Learn about the process of composting with worms to generate rich soil for your garden while also keeping kitchen waste out of the trash can!
We'll be joined by a Marathon County master gardener and Marathon County UW-Extension Horticulture Educator Janell Wehr for this program on vermicomposting. Composting with worms is a safe, efficient and year-round way to turn kitchen waste into rich compost for your garden. We'll go over all you need to know to successfully make this 'black gold.' Learn what materials can be used to house your worms, what to feed them, and where to locate your worm condo. This is a beginner's class where you will learn how this composting works and how to avoid common mistakes.
