Book Babies

Children's Event Join us for 20 minutes of "lap sit" story time for children birth to 23 months! Listen and interact with your baby through books, songs, rhymes and other activities. Caregiver-child interaction is stressed in Book Babies, so children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children's Event Drop-in Children of all ages and their families are invited to build creative projects using LEGO blocks! All blocks will be provided. Free and no registration required.

Sensory Story Time

Children's Event Sensory Story Time is an inclusive weekly story time that has been adapted to meet the needs of children of all abilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, children who simply have difficulty sitting still, and their typically developing peers.

Play and Learn

Children's Event Children of all ages are invited to use their imagination and creativity! These fun-filled, 60-90 minute programs feature a different story each week, followed by songs and supplemental activities. Offered in partnership with the Family Resource Center.

Winter Story Time Break

Children's Event Due to the winter holidays, we'll be taking a break from our regular story times at MCPL-Wausau, with the exception of Play and Learn, which will continue on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. Regularly scheduled story times will resume Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
