Computers / Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)

Public Computer Labs

• All MCPL locations offer public computer labs with internet access and common software.
• Library card-holders receive free computer access during library hours. Card-holders with $25 or more in fines are unable to access the computers.
• Visitors with government-issued photo IDs may receive a computer guest pass for a maximum of two hours per day.
• Headphones must be used to avoid disturbing other patrons.
• Computer usage is subject to the library’s Computer and Internet Access and Use policy.

Printing

• Black and white printing is $0.10 per page (one-sided / standard size).
• Color printing is $0.50 per page (one-sided / standard size), available at MCPL Wausau only.
• NEW! Wireless and remote printing options are available via “Princh.”

Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi)

• All MCPL locations offer Wi-Fi; just look for the network name (SSID) “MCPL [Location] Guest” (e.g. “MCPL Wausau Guest”).
• Wi-Fi access may be possible from outside of the library (e.g. the parking lot, municipal facilities and nearby outdoor areas):
  • at MCPL Wausau Mon.-Sat., 6 a.m.–10 p.m. (and unavailable Sunday); 
  • at MCPL Rothschild Mon.–Sun., 6 a.m.–9 p.m.; 
  • at all other MCPL branches 24/7.
• If you can’t connect to the library’s Wi-Fi, library staff can offer basic troubleshooting, but they cannot extensively reconfigure or repair your device.
