Summer Library Program (SLP)
Get RED-dy to step into a world of color, imagination, and adventure this summer at your local MCPL!
We’ll be celebrating the “Color Our World” theme through our activity books, reading challenges, performer visits, craft activities, and book displays. ORANGE you excited to learn more?
June–August, stop into your library to say YELLOW and pick up an activity book (birth–grade 5) or packet (grades 6–12). Complete the reading challenges to earn up to two free books and the chance to win colorful prizes!
We’re bringing back some favorite performers who BLUE us away last year, including Tom Pease, Magic of Isaiah, Animal Acrobats, and Raptor Education Group, Inc. We’re also welcoming Dragon Training Academy, Miller & Mike, and North Lakeland Discovery Center to the lineup this year!
Teens, don’t be PURPLE-xed about what to do this summer! Check to see what your library has to offer, be it Dungeons & Dragons, Minecraft, silent book club, Studio Ghibli film showings, or special craft activities (like zine-making, manga-drawing, neon signs, and more).
And, new this year, we’ll be offering field-trips from Wausau to special programs at Mead Wildlife Area. We hope this partnership puts an extra GREEN on your face!
Like a coloring book waiting for crayons, this summer is yours to fill with experiences and excitement! So, why have a black-and-white summer when you can color your world with books, creativity, and endless fun at the library?
